Section 4 - The design process...

We know that good web design is very personal.  It all amounts to what each person likes.  To that end we always endeavour to "listen" to our clients. We begin our process by asking you to complete a small Website Planner Workbook.  This ensures that we know from the outset what your likes and dislikes are.  We even ask you to point out a few sites on the internet that you like and also some that you hate.  We believe in thorough consultation with our clients and proper planning of the website from the outset.

So what kind of website do you need?

Whether you are in need of a basic personal website of a few pages or a small business requiring a small online brochure with the ability to have an e-commerce shop then CCDSWeb is committed to providing this for you. 

Section 5 - Domain name registration

Domain name registration....

Domain names are almost like a postal address.  Your website address (or domain) has to be unique and unlike any other.  When you choose and register a domain it will be yours for as long as you continue to pay the annual fees. 

We can arrange to check the availability of a domain name of your choice.  If the name of your choice is taken you can try some variations of the name, maybe with a different spelling or a hyphen.  The top level domain in the US ends with .com rapidly followed by .org and .net. Also differing countries have their own i.e.www. mysite.co.uk. Our advice here would be to keep it as short as possible and as meaningful as you can, you do want people to remember it after all!

Once you have decided on the name you would like to give to your website address (domain name) we will register that for you.

Section 6 - Hosting Services

Our web hosting services are reliable and cost only $150 a year.  We offer Unix solutions that provide robust, dependable hosting without adverts, popups or banners.  You can create and manage email accounts, create and configure automatic responses to emails and route emails to multiple addresses.  You are also provided with the ability to gather usage statistics and see how many visitors came to your site every month or even every hour of every day! You can track the pages they viewed, who referred them etc. etc.  Also the website hosting and domain name registration have no set-up fees.
